Registered Veterinary Nursing Services

Our registered veterinary nurses are highly skilled professionals who are independently regulated and registered with the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons).

They are advocates for animal welfare and have a vast array of experience, meaning they can advise on a range of healthcare topics and provide support to the veterinary team in areas such as radiography, patient surgical preparation, anaesthesia and nutrition.

Our friendly nursing team have a broad range of expertise in specific areas, and many of our nurses have undertaken further certification and accreditation.

Our nursing teams are committed to ensuring your pet’s comfort and wellbeing are at the forefront during a stay or visit to our practice and branches, as well as providing the highest standards of nursing care.

Our nursing team offer:

· Weight clinics.

· Senior consults.

· Dental checks.

· Dermatology support consults.

· Confidence clinics (for pets that are nervous about visits).

· Nail clips and anal glands.

· Repeat injections (Solensia, Librela and Cytopoint).

· Medication administration.

· Microchipping.

· Second and third vaccines.

· Wound checks and bandage changes.

· Routine hygiene (including ear cleaning).

· Post-operative checks.

· Physiotherapy.

 

They are also regulated and trained to carry out some minor surgical procedures, such as lump removals, stitch-ups and dental scale and polishes under veterinary direction.

If your pet needs to stay with us, it will often be a vet nurse who admits and discharges them.
