Small Animal Vet Vacancy
We are looking for a permanent full time small animal vet to join our fun and friendly team at our Berwick branch. We are in North Northumberland, next to the coast (you can see the sea from the practice!) and the beautiful Scottish Borders, with the added bonus of being within an hour drive from Edinburgh/Newcastle.
The branch is part of the wider Galedin team (Galedinvet.com) within the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland. We are part of the VetPartners Group family.
We are a very friendly social team and try to get out as often as possible. In the summer staff from our Berwick branch will often go wild swimming after work and we try to do a bit of fun team building – from rowing on the Tweed to outdoor watersport adventures at Fox Lake to pottery and yoga classes!
Our small animal work includes surgery and consults with access to all the mod cons including endoscopes, dental x-ray, good quality ultrasound and EPOC bloods etc. We aim to provide an excellent first opinion service with clinical freedom to follow cases up and a large team of small animal vets for support and case discussion.
Our full-time working week is 40 hours over 4.5 days with an hour lunch break. We are proud to provide our own OOH care, with staff receiving time in lieu after oncall shifts. The Saturday mornings and OOH shifts are on a rota.
