Small Animal Vet
Berwick Upon Tweed

We have exciting opportunities for Small Animal Veterinary surgeons to join our busy, friendly, supportive small animal team at our large well-equipped modern surgery in the beautiful borders town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The beautiful coastline, access to the Cheviots as well as easy access to Edinburgh or Newcastle make this the ideal spot to settle. These positions may ideally suit a couple who are looking to relocate to a beautiful area of the country.



As well as the advantage of living in a beautiful rural area, the surgery is a large purpose built and offers great facilities and equipment including our new lovely video endoscope. Our team of nine vets have experience in emergency medicine, internal medicine, orthopaedics, ophthalmology and exotics. We encourage collaboration and progression. We also have a fantastic team of experienced RVN's and trainees who keep us organised and help us provide expert nursing care to our patients. Being multi-branch (and part of the VetPartners group) we are lucky to have a wealth of veterinary experience within the wider team.



We are proud to provide our own OOH service for our clients and this additional full time position would allow us to create a generous rota while providing excellent out of hours care.



The positions would be based at the Berwick surgery and would suit experienced vets or confident recent graduates looking for a supportive team and varied workload.

Small Animal Vet – Part Time

Would you like to work in the beautiful Scottish Borders town of Innerleithen? The town lies between Galashiels and Peebles and is within easy commute from Edinburgh. The area is renowned for outdoor living, particularly the world class mountain biking available on your doorstep.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, sole charge small animal vet to run a small but friendly branch clinic. The position would suit someone looking to work with some autonomy and with the flexibility to choose their own hours. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person possibly looking to ensure work fits in with school hours and family life. While the position requires the successful candidate to work independently, support is available from a larger team of vets and nurses at our busy modern clinic in Galashiels.


The branch in Innerleithen is centrally located on the High Street, open 3 hours per day Monday to Friday, with consultations by appointment only. You will be assisted daily by a Veterinary Nurse or a member of our Receptions team.


For the right candidate, and dependant upon your experience, we can offer you a salary of between £36,000 and £50,000 (Pro rata), along with many more attractive benefits. These include:

Mixed Practice- Scottish Borders


Excellent opportunity for a mixed vet to work at our Duns branch in the beautiful Scottish Borders.


We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic vet to join our friendly team to provide an excellent service to our great clients and their animals.


On the small animal side, we aim to give an excellent first opinion service to our loyal and longstanding local clients, valuing continuity of care, with the opportunity to work up your own cases.


Our farm animal side involves work with forward-thinking farmers - mainly with suckler cows and sheep, with some pedigree herds/ flocks and dairy work. The position would involve advising on preventative medicine planning, as well as routine and emergency work. There is always excellent support available from experienced colleagues.


The practice has a number of assistants enrolled in certificate programmes (with study time provided) to actively promote career progression.


The role would suit a confident vet who enjoys working as part of an experienced,
enthusiastic team, providing excellent clinical care and who is keen to develop their skills.


Set in a rural location near the coast but within an hour of Edinburgh, our ideal candidate has a good teamwork ethic and high standards of client care.


A generous remuneration package in return for a 4 ½ day week, with equally shared farm only OOH, includes 5 days funded CPD and an Income Protection Policy, 30 days holiday and a vehicle.

Emergency & Critical Care Out Of Hours RVN

Are you interested in a new and challenging role?


We are looking for a confident, dedicated, and experienced nurse with an interest in emergency and critical care to join our team in Galashiels, to complement the Galedin day teams.


Covering several VetPartners practices in the area, you will be assisting in providing excellent overnight care for inpatients, and be involved with dealing with any new admissions alongside your Veterinary Surgeon.


The area is lovely and scenic to live in with easy access to Edinburgh, and some great walking and cycling for your days off.


Working in a small, but brilliant, hardworking team in a rota system, you will be covering nights and weekends including some daytime work at weekends and bank holidays (we cover Christmas and New Year’s Day)


Support will be given to study for a certificate.
Salary up to £26,300 pro rata, depending on experience.
