    Iain graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1995. He splits his time equally between farm and equine work, and is particularly interested in equine reproduction, as well as being an RCVS riding establishment inspector. In his spare time he enjoys watching rugby, running, skiing, hillwalking and playing bass guitar in a local band.

    Maria graduated from Edinburgh vet school in 2017 and returned to her home county of Devon as a mixed vet. However, her love of Scotland has brought her back ‘beyond the wall’! In her spare time she is a keen rock climber and hockey player. She wouldn’t be without her furry friends, sharing her house with border terrier Dizzy and cat with attitude Arnie

    HANNAH MCCLINTICK

    Hannah grew up in Fife and helped out on her uncle's sheep farm from a young age. She graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 2017 and worked in mixed practice in Cumbria before joining Galedin in 2019. Outside of work she is often found running the Borders countryside with her German pointer, cycling and playing tennis. She is also heavily involved with the UK Veterinary Christian Fellowship.

    Kath graduated from Edinburgh in 1992. After two years in general practice she went back to work for the Dick Vet Farm Practice, where she stayed for 18 years, before joining Galedin in 2012. Her main interest is in flock health planning and preventative medicine. Outside work she works on the family farm and enjoys walking with the family cocker spaniels.

    Mary graduated from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 2020 and joined the team shortly after as a mixed vet. She enjoys the variety of work that being a vet brings. She grew up helping out on her family's beef and sheep farm near Lauder and still lends a hand when time allows! Outside of work she enjoys baking, cycling around the Borders and attending young farmers events.

    Robbie was brought up in Orkney and qualified from Glasgow Vet School in 2016. After graduating, he returned to Orkney where he predominantly worked in beef and sheep, before joining Galedin in 2018. His main interests are cattle work and in particular bull fertility. In his spare time he enjoys shooting, fishing and slowly ticking off the Munros.

    Alexa was born and brought up on a farm in Selkirkshire and has always been around animals. She qualified as an RVN and has worked at various practices, from the north east of England to West Lothian, as well as spending time working in Malaysia. She now works at our Kelso branch and has a particular interest in medical nursing and preventative healthcare.

    Gayle has been at the Kelso branch since 2010. Starting out as an Animal Care Assistant she is now a Registered Veterinary Nurse having qualified in 2021. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing with anaesthetics, diagnostics her main interests but in particular she enjoys working with clients and running puppy parties. In her spare time she likes to ride her Horse and walk her dogs.

    Rebecca grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Berwick and loved being around the animals and helping with the lambs during the lambing season. She joined the team in 2020 and is enjoying studying to become a veterinary nurse. Outside work she enjoys spending time with her two cocker spaniels, and her boyfriend, who competes in strongman competitions!

    Receptionist

    Charlly works on reception and is a passionate animal lover. She lives on a local farm with her partner and her mischievous golden retriever, George. Outside work, she enjoys helping on the farm, catching up on office work or out in the field in her wellies. She is a keen photographer and can often be found out in the countryside searching for that perfect snap.

    Lorraine has worked for Galedin since 2014, after moving back to the Borders from Kent where she had lived for 25 years and raised her two sons. She loves all the client contact and meeting the different animals that walk through the door. In her spare time she loves swimming, Pilates, walking, socialising, and spending quality time with her family.

    Anne works in our office, mostly with our large animal clients, a role she has held since joining in 2005. She is a keen crafter and avid grandmother, doing all the things she would have frowned upon as a mother!

    MARION HUTCHESON

    Team Leader

    Marion first joined the team in 1994, before working in similar roles in North Yorkshire for several years, returning in 2005. She has a retired horse, Gonzo, and a coloured cob, Syd, on whom she competes most weekends. Husband Mike and border terriers Poppy and Ted complete her family.
